Powers of the Tribunal to make Rules & Regulations

What are the powers of the Assam Administrative Tribunal?

  • The Administrative Tribunal, as notified by the State Government in the official Gazette, can make rules for the purposes of giving effect to the provision of the Assam Administrative Tribunal Act from time to time.
  • All rules in this section shall be laid for not less than fourteen days before the Assam Legislative Assembly as soon as possible after they are made and shall be subject to such modification as the Legislative Assembly may make during the session in which they are laid or the session immediately following. 
  • The Tribunal shall, from time to time frame regulations, subject to the previous sanction of the Government, consistent with the provisions of the AAT Act and Rule made under S.12 regulation its procedure and disposal of its business. 
  • The Regulation made under sub - (1) shall be published in the Assam Gazette.
